First published in 1875, the Combination Atlas Map of Montgomery County, Ohio was compiled, drawn and published from personal examinations and surveys by L. H. Everts and printed by Hunter Press of Philadelphia. This edition is a complete, unabridged facsimile, with the original hand-colored maps reproduced in full color.

The city of Dayton is mapped ward by ward across eleven detailed street maps, five of them double-page spreads. Fourteen township maps at a scale of two inches to the mile cover Butler, Perry, Clay, Van Buren, Jefferson, Jackson, Randolph, Madison, Harrison, Mad River, Wayne, Washington, German, and Miami townships, and village plans include Miamisburg, Germantown, Vandalia, Salem, Brookville, Beavertown, Oakwood, Centreville, Little York, Farmersville, and Phillipsburg. The map legend is printed in both English and German — a nod to the county's large German community.

Beyond the maps, the atlas is a portrait of the county at its industrial height: a history of Montgomery County and its villages and townships, personal sketches of prominent men and pioneers, portrait plates, and dozens of lithographic views of Dayton's factories, stores, churches, residences, and the National Soldiers' Home. Business directories of the cities and villages and township personals directories round out the volume — a trove of names for family researchers. Also included are a double-page Railroad Map of the United States and Map of Ohio.

An essential reference for genealogists, house historians, and collectors of Dayton and Montgomery County history.
