1876 Combination Atlas Map of Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Combination Atlas Map of Bucks County, Pennsylvania was compiled, drawn and published from personal examinations and surveys by J. D. Scott of Philadelphia in 1876, the nation's centennial year. This edition is a complete facsimile, printed in full color from the State Library of Pennsylvania copy, so the hand-colored maps and every page of the original are reproduced as issued.

The atlas opens with maps of Pennsylvania and the United States and a large two-page map of Bucks County, followed by a map of every township: Bensalem, Bristol, Falls, Middletown, Lower Makefield, Upper Makefield, Newtown, Wrightstown, Northampton, Southampton, Warminster, Warrington, Warwick, Buckingham, Solebury, Doylestown, Plumstead, Bedminster, Hilltown, Rockhill, Richland, Milford, Springfield, Durham, Nockamixon, Tinicum and Haycock. Plans of the boroughs and villages include Doylestown, Bristol, Newtown, Quakertown, Sellersville, Perkasie, New Hope, Morrisville, Yardleyville, Hulmeville, Attleboro, Fallsington, Tullytown, Andalusia, Chalfont, Plumsteadville, Dublin, Centreville, Riegelsville, Richlandtown and many more, together with the census tables and the table of distances of the county.

What sets this atlas apart is its illustrations: some forty pages of lithographic views of farms, residences, hotels, mills, stores, marble works, a poultry farm, carriage works and factories, each captioned with the owner's name and township. A Business Directory of the townships, boroughs and villages of Bucks County and a chronological list of county officers close the volume.

An essential reference for genealogists, house historians, and collectors of Bucks County history.
