A color facsimile reprint of the Combination Atlas of Saratoga and Ballston, compiled from recent and actual surveys and records under the superintendence of F. W. Beers and Louis H. Cramer, and published by J. B. Beers & Co. of 36 Vesey Street, New York, in 1876. Printed by Charles Hart and engraved by L. E. Neuman, this historic atlas provides a detailed, large-scale record of the villages of Saratoga Springs and Ballston Spa and the surrounding area of Saratoga County during the height of Saratoga's era as a resort destination.
The atlas maps the following areas in detail:
Saratoga Springs — the village mapped across ten enlarged sections, with surrounding-area maps, showing streets, property owners, and ward or election district boundaries
Ballston Spa — the village mapped across three enlarged sections, with surrounding-area maps, including Bloodville
Town of Milton — including the communities of Bloodville, Factory Village, Rock City Falls, and West Milton
County reference — an outline plan of Saratoga County
The atlas also includes a series of engraved illustrations of local residences and landmarks—among them Temple Grove Seminary, the Medical Institute, a Broadway business block, several private residences, and Methodist and Episcopal churches—along with business notices.
This reprint is reproduced in full color from a digitized public-domain original. It is offered for genealogists and family-history researchers, local and regional historians, land and property researchers, map collectors, and anyone studying the history of Saratoga Springs, Ballston Spa, and Saratoga County, New York.
